Hawk Women Win Two of Five at Duquesne Duals

PITTSBURGH, PA - Lead by freshman Adrienne Beltz, the Saint Joseph's women's cross country team opened their season by defeating two of their five opponents at the Duquesne Duals. The Hawk women defeated Carnegie Mellon and St. Bonaventure, but were unable to overtake West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Duquesne. Beltz finished first for the Hawks and 4th overall covering the 5k course in a time of 18:10. She was followed by sophomore Suzie McHenry and senior captain Colleen Flanagan, finishing 9th and 10th respectively. Rounding out the top five for the Hawks were sophomore Renee Spanger (21st) and senior Mary Crossin (29th).
