Hawk Women Look Solid at Spiked Shoe Invitational
Sept. 11, 2004 UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - Paced by the youthful feet of freshman Adriene Beltz the Saint Joseph's women's cross country team delivered a solid sixth place finish in the 17 team field at the Penn State Spiked Shoe Invitational. The SJU newcomer finished seventh overall. In addition to Beltz, two other Hawks finished among the top 25. Sophomore Suzie McHenry crossed the line second for SJU and placed 17th. Senior Colleen Flanagan, third for SJU, was 25th. Sophomores Renee Spangler (35th) and Maddie Bell (63rd) rounded out the Hawks' top five. Seniors Erin O'Donnell (107th) and Jackie Twomey (115th), Junior Marci DeLorenzo (87th), Sophomores Rebecca Powell (83rd) and Erin Kelly (160th), along with freshmen Chritine Egan (69th) and Kate LoSecco (82nd) filled out the lineup.
