Cross Country Prepares for Spiked Shoe Invitational Saturday

10 teams in each men's and women's races will be featured at the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe event.

Saint Joseph's will send its cross country squads to Penn State for the Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational.

The women's race kicks off at 10:00 a.m. on the 6,000 meter course at Penn State's Blue/White Golf Course. The men's race is at 10:45 a.m. on the 5.2 mile course.

Teams competing at the event include hosts Penn State, in-state schools; Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Lock Haven, Robert Morris, and St. Francis (PA). Other schools at Spiked Shoe are Columbia, Felician, Howard, and Niagara.

Results for the race will be posted after the high school races Saturday afternoon on www.gopsusports.com as well as a recap here on www.sjuhawks.com.
