PHILADELPHIA (10/05/02) - With the veterans of the women's cross country team at the Notre Dame Invitation, the Saint Joseph's team of the future raced locally at the La Salle Invitation on Saturday. The Hawks finished eighth with a total of 226 points. Freshman Marcy DeLorenzo led SJU with a 21:37.19 on theh 5K course to place 56th in the field of 85. Sophomore Erin O'Donnell placed 69th with a time of 22:06.84 to finish second for Saint Joseph's. Rounding out the top five were freshman Anne Marshall (22:57.37, 81st), freshman Gina Giordano (23:37.01, 83rd) and sophomore Jackie Twomey (24:02.64, 85th). SJU returns to the course on October 19 at the Lafayette Invitation.
