REGAN LEADS HAWKS TO VICTORY AT COLONIAL INVITATION
WILLIAMSBURG, VA (09/21/02) - The Saint Joseph's women's cross country team remained perfect on the season with Saturday's win at the Colonial Invitation at William and Mary. Freshman Ann Regan continued to impress, as she was the first harrier to cross the finish line, with a time of 18:49.
Junior Amy Manwaring placed third overall (19:12), while sophomore Colleen Flanagan (19:17) finished five seconds later to finish fourth. Junior Karen Weber finished fourth for the Hawks and 11th overall with a time of 19:47, while senior Sarah Conway rounded out the scoring at 16th overall, 20:15.
Placing sixth and seventh for SJU, respectively, were Kelly Victory (20:41, 22nd) and Mary Crossin (20:57, 27th).
The win was Saint Joseph's second Invitation victory on the season. SJU began the season with a win in the Maroon and Gold Invitation at Kutztown on August 31 and swept the Duquesne Duals, 6-0, on September 7.
The Hawks next compete at the La Salle Invitational on October 4.
