Women's Cross Country Finishes Sixth at Leopard Invitational

EASTON, PA - The Saint Joseph's women's cross country team placed sixth at Saturday's Leopard Invitational hosted by Lafayette. The Hawks finished behind Maryland, Bucknell, Kutztown, American and Holy Cross. Andrea Florida was SJU's top finisher, placing sixth in 21:23 over the 6,000 kilometer course. Aimee Chegwidden posted a time of 21:48, which placed her 17th. Juli Stensland ran a 22:15 for 33rd place, followed by Anna Cushing in 36th place (22:20). Christina Morelli ran a 22:31, which gave her a 42nd place finish. Laura Faller was 59th in 22:59 and Amy Rhein rounded out the Hawks'varsity runners with a 23:16, to finish 73rd. Jessica Di Cicco (87th/23:21), Caitlin Reusche (102nd/23:54), and Katie Pencek (113th/25:01) also competed in the race. The Hawks have a two week break before hosting the Atlantic 10 Championship, on October 27 at Belmont Plateau.
