Women's Cross Country Finishes Third at Delaware

Newark, Del. - The Saint Joseph's women's cross country team finished third out of four teams competing in the Delaware Invitational 5K on Saturday. Hawks' junior Aimee Chegwidden placed third, running the course in 19:02.23.

The Hawks placed their top five runners in the first 20 places in the 5K, with Chegwidden leading the pack. Junior Jessica DiCicco finished next for SJU in sixth with a time of 19:14.69 while junior Christina Morelli placed 11th in 19:18.71.

Freshman Maureen O'Donnell finished the course in 19:30.54 (14th) and junior Laura Faller came in at 19:50.92 (20th). Beth Lambright (19:58.50) and Sarah Walker (20:02.77) rounded out the scoring for the Hawks finishing in 23rd and 24th, respectively.

The Hawks next compete at the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday October 2 at 11:00 a.m.
