Women Harriers Place Seventh at Fordham Invite

BRONX, NY - Junior Suzie McHenry was the Hawks top finisher, placing 27th overall, to lead the Saint Joseph's women's cross country team to a seventh place finish out of 19 teams at the 2005 Fordham Cross Country Invitational this afternoon at Van Cortlandt Park.

McHenry covered the 5K course in a time of 19.11. Freshman Andrea Florida ran second for SJU in 19:37 to place 47th. Junior Rebecca Powell (20:29/77th) and freshman Amy Rhein (20:42/88th) rounded out the scorers for SJU, which totled 241 points.

Maddie Bell, Ann Regan, Kate MacCready, Gen Story, Renee Spangler and Thuy Nguyen rounded out the Hawks lineup.

Princeton captured the team competition with Providence's Fiona Crombie winning the individual title, covering the course in 17:48.36.
