Women's Cross Country Takes Third at Lid-Lifter
Sept. 5, 2009 Princess Anne, Md. - The Saint Joseph's women's cross country team took third in the Lid-Lifter Invitational at Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday morning. The Hawks finished with 59 points while West Virginia had 50 in second and in first place Maryland finished with 21 points. Sophomore Kathleen Casey was the Hawks top finisher, taking ninth place, with a time of 19:08.16. Junior Aimee Chegwidden was right behind Casey in 10th running the course in 19:08.67, while Jessica Di Cicco completed the race in 12th at 19:10.53. Junior Christina Morelli took 13th in 19:11.14 and Maureen O'Donnell placed 18th in 19:38.22. Also finishing for SJU was Lena Finucane with a time of 19:59.31, while Laura Faller ran the course in 20:21 and Samantha Peters came in at 20:41.25. Beth Lambright finished in 20:56. 31, Sara Walker in 20:59.18, Katie Barrett in 21:18.20 and Sarah Donahue finished in 21:23.76. The Hawks race again on September 19th in the Delaware Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
