Claire Duncan enters her fourth season as assistant coach of the Saint Joseph's women's cross country and track teams in 2011-12.

A 2005 graduate of Penn, Duncan was a three-time Academic All-American, while being a four-year letterwinner. She completed her degree in political science and environmental studies in addition to captaining the cross country and track squads at Penn.

Duncan will add invaluable experience to the program as she has three years of head coaching experience at the high school level prior to Saint Joseph's. She spent two years as head girls' indoor and outdoor track coach at Germantown Friends Academy (2006-08), while also serving as assistant cross country coach.

Prior to Germantown, Duncan was the head girls' cross country coach as well as the head boys' and girls' indoor and outdoor track coach at Friends Central School in 2005-06.

Duncan resides in Philadelphia with her husband, former Hawk harrier, Rob Hewitt `04.
