NEW HAVEN (5/16/04) - Andria Smythe raced to a fourth place finish in the 100m to lead the Saint Joseph's women's track team to a 36th place finish at the 2004 ECAC Championships held at Yale University. A total of 47 teams competed at the meet.

Smythe delivered the third fastest times in both the qualifying and semifinal heats with times of 11.99 and 11.85. In the finals Smythe placed fourth with a time of 12.03.

Also competing individually was Thuy Nguyen, who finished 21st in the 800m with a time of 2:15.67.

In the relays, the 4x800 finished fifth in qualifying with a time of 9:01.82 and then returned to place eight in the final in a time of 9:02.14. The 4x100 finished 15th in a time 47.67 and the 4x400 placed 18th in 3:51.96.
