WOMEN'S 4x400 RECORD FALLS AT PENN RELAYS
PHILADELPHIA (4/24/04) - The Saint Joseph's women's track team sent four relays to the Penn Relays over the weekend with the 4x400 setting a new shool record and the 4x800 establishing a new A-10 season-best time.
The 4x400 blazed through its qualifying heat and placed second in a time of 3:51.04. The time was the fastes in the Conference this season and shattered the old SJU record set in 2002 by 0.55 seconds. The 4x800, meanwhile also turned in a new A-10 season best time, placing eighth in a time of 9:10.22. The 4x100 also was spectacular, placing sixth while running the second fastest time in school history (47.81). SJU also entered a Sprint Medley which placed 25th in a time of 4:06.73.
