SMYTHE PACES HAWK WOMEN AT LAFAYETTE 6-WAY

EASTON, PA (3/27/04) - Sophomore Andria Smythe won the 100m in an ECAC qualifying time of 11.90 and anchored the 4x100 relay (48.25) that aslo reached ECAC standards, while also placing second in both the 200m (25.17) and the Long Jump (17-10.75) to lead SJU to a fourth place finish at the Lafayette 6-Way.

In addition to Smythe, the Hawks dominated the 3,000, placing one, two and three. Amy Manwaring (10:17.49) won the event followed by Colleen Flanagan (10:21.81) and Suzie Mchenry (10:28.02).

In the 400m, Amanda Guthridge (59.34) placed third, while Julie Lentz (59.53) was fourth and Stacey Cronin (1:00.31) was sixth.

Other top performances were turned in by Rebecca Powell, who placed second in the 800m (2:16.94), Erin Blaustein, who was third in the 400m Hurdles (1:06.90), and Sarah Click, who finished second in the high jump (5-03.00).
