SMYTHE SCORES FOR SJU AT ECAC
BOSTON, MA (3/07/04) - Sophomore Andria Smythe placed seventh in the 60 meter dash and was the lone Hawk to score as SJU competed at the ECAC Championships at Reggie Lewis Track. Smythe ran 7.60 to place fourth in the prelims and then sprinted a 7.69 in the final. As a team SJU placed 40th in a field of more than 80 schools.
Thuy Nguyen, who ran 2:16.87 in the 800m, was the only other Hawk individual to race. The 4x400 relay of Amanda Guthridge, Julie Lentz, Stacey Cronin and Colleen Ladden, placed 15th in the preliminaries in a time of 3:51.93. The 4x800 relay of Rebecca Powell, Erin Kelly, Mary Crossin and Kelly Victory, narrowly missed qualifying for the final, placing tenth in a time of 9:10.13.
