HAWK WOMEN RUN WELL AT HAVERFORD

HAVERFORD, PA (1/24/04) - The Saint Joseph's women's track team was able to stretch its legs over the weekend getting in some solid work at the Haverford Invitational. Freshman Stacey Cronin turned in teh top individual effort wining the 200m (27.30) and placing fifth in the 400m (61.62). SJU placed four runners in the top 12 of the 200, as Lauren Manfredi (28.50), Lynn Puzzo (29.72) and Lisa LaMela (30.54) joined Cronin. The Hawks had similar results in the 400 where Cronin was followed by Manfredi (61.91), Erin Kelly (62.95) and Kate Hoban (68.10). Other quality finishes for SJU came from Puzzo (4.55m) who placed third in the long jump, Lamela (10.16) who went third in the 55m Hurdles. SJU's two 4x400 relays faired well placing first and fifth.
