CONWAY NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT II TEAM
PHILADELPHIA (05/29/03) -- Senior Sarah Conway was named to the Verizon Academic All-District II University Division Track and Field/Cross Country team, in voting conducted by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). She was honored on the first team and advances to the national ballot for Academic All-American consideration.
Conway won the 800m at both the 2003 Atlantic 10 Indoor and Outdoor Championships and was a member of the 4x800 relay that won gold at the outdoor championships. The Newark, Del. product qualified for the ECAC Championships and NCAA Regionals in the 800m and 4x800. She is also a 2003 academic all-conference honoree in both indoor and outdoor track. A finance major, Conway finished her collegiate career with a 3.63 GPA.
The District II team consists of Division I colleges and universities in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
