PHILADELPHIA (01/13/03) - For the second consecutive week, athletes from the Saint Joseph's women's track and field team were honored by the Atlantic 10 Conference. Senior Sarah Conway was named as the Co-Performer of the Week and freshman Thuy Nguyen was nabbed as the Rookie of the Week. Conway had the best performance in the conference this season in the 1,000 meters with a 2:56.98 at the Fordham Invitational. Her race qualified her for the IC4A/ECAC Championships held March 7-9. Nguyen was a double-winner as she took first in the 800m (2:16.57) and the 4x800 relay team (9:33.56). The relay met IC4A qualifiying standards. Last week, sophomore Kelly Victory and freshman Andria Smythe were tabbed by the Atlantic 10.
