HAWKS FARE WELL IN FIRST OUTDOOR MEET
PHILADELPHIA- In the Hawks opening outdoor
meet, SJU crowned three champions while
three others finished in the top three.
Senior Christine Kane claimed first place in the
800 meter run (2:15.62) while Bernadette Speer
posted a winning jump of 5'7 in the high jump.
Senior Gabby Quezada, who did not compete in
the indoor season, notched second place in the
1500 meter run while freshman Sarah Click tied
for second in the high jump (5'0 1/4).
Other top performances include a third place finish by Denise Fergus in
the 3000 meter run (10:39.77) an fourth place finishes by Brooke
Gilliford and Mary Korfmacher in the 200 and 400 meter dashes,
respectively.
The 4x400 relay team also claimed first with a time of 3:57.2.
