HAWKS COMPETE AT DELAWARE INVITATIONAL
NEWARK, DE - The St. Joseph's women's track
team competed at the Delaware Invitation over
the weekend. The meet included squads from
Lincoln, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Temple,
Norfolk State, as well as the host Blue Hens.
Junior Denise Fergus led the Hawks with a first
place finish in the 5000 meter run.
Freshman Karen Weber ran strong placing fifth
in the 5000 (19:00.69) while Katie Limbach and
Emily Choromanski both finished eighth in the 800 and mile runs ,
respectively.
Freshman Maisha Tyler placed fifth in the long jump (17'02 3/4") while
freshman Sarah Click posted a fourth place finish in the high jump (5'04
1/4").
The Hawks next compete on Friday, February 9, when they travel to
Fordham.
