Women's Track Team Competes at Lafayett/Rider Invitational
Feb. 15, 2005 New York, NY - The Saint Joseph's women's track team competed at the 2005 Lafayette/Rider Invitational at The New Balance Track & Field Center in New York. The Hawks fared well in most of the events they competed in, with solid performances by freshman Jordan Teuber, sophomores Suzie McHenry and Rebecca Powell, and senior Kelly Victory. Teuber performed consistently well in all of the events that she competed in. She finished second in the 55-meter dash in a time of 7.45, fourth in the 200 meters winning her heat (26.10) and sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.08. Other Hawks competed well this weekend. McHenry placed fourth in the mile in 5:06.10. Victory won her heat and placed third in the 500 meters (1:18.42). Powell took fourth in the 1000 meter run in a time of 3:02.90. The Hawks 4x800 meter relay also fared well. The team of sophomores Marcy DeLorenzo and McHenry, and seniors Jackie Twomey and Colleen Flanagan placed fourth.
