Men's DMR and Women's McMullen Lead SJU Track in Day One at Yale

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The men's and women's track squads kicked off the Giegengack Invitational at Yale impressively as each squad earned a victory. The men's DMR squad won first and was just eight seconds off from being an NCAA provisional qualifier while the women's Nicole McMullen won the long jump on Day One. The men's DMR ran its best time of the season, 9:57.40 to dust the field by over six seconds. The Hawks bested La Salle, who was in second at 10:03.54. Right behind them was SJU's B squad that ran 10:03.95 to capture bronze. Nicole McMullen leapt 5.51m (18-1) for the victory in the long jump. Her nearest competitor earned second with a 17-10 jump.
