Hawks Compete in 4x100 and High Jump at Penn Relays

April 27, 2006

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Saint Joseph's took part in the 112th Penn Relays Thursday at Franklin Field. Although competing in only two events, the Hawks faired well among the competition.

Freshmen Lauren Slack and Natalie Miller continue to improve in the High Jump each hitting 5-3.25, just above the 5'3 mark that has become their norm. The height is a 3.25" improvement since the first meet of the season in which they each jumped a 5-0 (Monmouth Invitational).

Slack was also part of other notable improvements with her role in the 4x100. Slack, combined with Jordan Teuber, Valerie Ramirez, and Julie Lentz notched the fastest SJU 4x100 time of the year with their 48.06 finish.

The Hawks' next meet is this Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7th at the Atlantic 10 Championships in Charlotte, NC.
