Two Hawks Capture Wins at Lehigh Games

PHILADELPHIA-- The Saint Joseph's women's track team had success with its reserve squad at the Lehigh Games this weekend as two events were won by Hawks. Amy Rhein took the victory in the 1,500m while SJU's "B" squad won the 4x100m Relay. Rhein posted a time of 4:45.96 to best the field by over a second and a half. Christina Morelli was fourth in the event with a time of 4:49.53. The Hawks split the squad up this weekend as the top flight of athletes took part at the Penn Relays. SJU's "B" squad of the 4x100m Relay rose to the occasion, winning the event in a time of 49.20. The time was the same as the "A" squad that ran at Penn Relays. Emily Coldren had two good showings in the 100m and 200m Dashes, respectively. She earned second in the 200m with a time of 26.50, just one-thenth of a second from winning. In the 100m her time of 12.93 tied her for second, but she lost out on hundreths-of-a-second for the silver. The Hawks are travelling to Charlotte this weekend to take part in the Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The competition will be streamed live through Atlantic10.org and is hosted by Charlotte at the Belk Track Complex.
