PRINCETON, N.J. – The Saint Joseph’s women’s track & field squad enjoyed the good weather and performed well at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton University.  Kristin Andrews set a new record in the 400-Meter Hurdles topped many notable performances.

Andrews broke the old school record set by Lauren Fike (1:03.97) in the 400-Meter Hurdles with a time of 1:03.87. Andrews was fourth in the event.

Nicole McMullen was fourth as well in the 200m Dash with an ECAC-qualifying time of 24.40 in the event.  The 4x400m Relay also met the ECAC standard with a winning time of 3:51.49.  Caitlin McGrath, Kierstin Quinn, Andrews and McMullen comprised the squad.

Natalie Miller matched her career-best height of 5-7 in the high jump.  Her performance was good for fifth.  Allison Smith leapt a career-best 5-4 ½.

Kathleen Casey won the Saturday edition of the 1,500m run with a time of 4:45.27.

Aimee Chegwidden and the 4x100m Relay earned second place finishes.  Chegwidden ran 10:41.25 in the 3,000m run while Kristin Pierce, McGrath, Quinn and McMullen passed the baton successfully for a time of 48.16 in the relay.

SJU will compete in the Penn Relays starting on Thursday and continuing through Saturday at Franklin Field.
