Hawk Women Compete at Lehigh University :: SJU Fares Well at 13th Annual Lehigh John Covert Classic

Bethlehem, PA - The Saint Joseph's women's track team competed at the 13th Annual Lehigh John Covert Classic in Bethlehem, PA this weekend. While no one took an individual gold, there were consistent performances in every event the Hawks competed in.

Sophomore Rebecca Powell finished sixth in the mile run with a time of 5:30.18. Finishing not far behind Powell were senior Jackie Twomey (5:33.16) and junior Marcy DeLorenzo (5:33.45). Sophomore Erin Kelly placed second in the 800 meter run in 2:27.22. In the 3000 meters, senior Erin O'Donnel finished sixth (11:04.41).

SJU also entered a team in the 4x800 relay which placed first in a time of 10:12.15.

The Hawks will be back in action next weekend at the Armory in New York.
