SJU FALLS TO GEORGE WASHINGTON IN A-10 OPENING ROUND

COLLEGE PARK, MD (4/16/04) -- The Hawk women's tennis team dropped its first-round matchup in the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Championships to George Washington, 4-0. SJU will play Rhode Island on Saturday at 8 a.m.

Junior Michelle Savage put up a fight at fourth singles before losing, 6-0, 6-3. At first doubles, senior Pilar Glodzik and sophomore Nicole Morrison lost 8-2 in the closest doubles match.

The Hawks drop to 3-8 on the season.
