PHILADELPHIA (09/14/03) -- The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team battled both the rain and visiting Bucknell. Unfortunately for the Hawks, they lost to both. SJU dropped to 0-3 on the young season with a 6-1 loss to Bucknell (1-0) in a match that ended nearly seven hours after it was scheduled to begin. Freshman Erika Guers earned the only Hawk point with a hard-fought 7-5, 6-7, 7-6 win over Bucknell's Rebecca Kral. She also teamed with sophomore Sofia Carreno at third doubles in a close 8-6 loss. SJU takes on Rider on Tuesday, September 16. SINGLES
