BOBISH WINS FIFTH STRAIGHT IN SUSPENDED MATCH VERSUS MONMOUTH
PHILADELPHIA, PA (10/17/02) - Junior Katie Bobish won her fifth straight match, but neither Saint Joseph's nor visiting Monmouth earned a win as the match was suspended due to darkness with four matches still waiting to be completed.
Monmouth won the doubles point, taking two of the three matches. Senior Lydia Thomas and Bobish were 8-2 winners at #1 for the only Hawk win.
Bobish was the only singles winner for SJU, taking a 6-4, 6-2 straight-set victory at #4. It was her fifth straight victory and 32nd of her career. She is now third all-time in career wins at Saint Joseph's .
The Hawks conclude their fall season by hosting Drexel on Finnesey Courts on Sunday at noon.
