PHILADELPHIA (10/15/02) - Freshman Jess Swanderski was named the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week after capturing a 6-1, 6-1 wih at sixth singles against Loyola on Wednesday. Teaming with senior Kathy Fromuth, the Lower Burrell, Pa. native also notched an 8-5 win at third doubles. She improved to 5-1 at #6 singles and 6-3 at #3 doubles with her wins at Loyola. The women's tennis team returns to action for their final two matches of the fall season this week. Wednesday, the Hawks host Drexel and on Thursday, host Monmouth.
