WILDCATS HANDLE HAWKS, 5-1

PHILADELPHIA (10/01/02) - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team could muster only a singles victory from junior Katie Bobish at #4 singles, dropping a 5-1 decision to crosstown rival Villanova (3-1) on the Finnesey Courts. The loss was the second straight for SJU, dropping the team's record to 4-3 overall. Bobish won a hard fought battle at #4 singles, edging her opponent, 7-5, 6-4. Fellow junior Pilar Glodzik saw her match extend to three sets at the #2 slot. She was in position to win after claiming the first set, but after losing a second set tie-breaker, eventually fell, 6-4, 6-7, 4-6.
