MERION STATION - Saint Joseph's freshman Kristina Eisenbrand topped teammate Aurora Davis for the title at the second singles flight and the Hawks finished runner ups in both doubles flights Sunday in the final day of play at the SJU Invitational. Eisenbrand advanced to the title match with a 6-4, 6-0 victory earlier in the morning, while Davis fought to a 6-7 (4), 6-2, 10-2 victory to set up the all SJU finals. In the championship match, Eisenbrand claimed a tight first set, 7-5, and posted a 6-3 win in the second to win the title. In doubles play, Eisenbrand and Casey Robinson advanced to the finals of the doubles first flight only to fall 8-4. In the second flight, junior Devia Jadeja and sophomore Kelly Mulquin battled versus a strong Pitt team, but fell 8-4. In the consolation rounds, Saint Joseph's placed two players in the singles finals as sophomore Lauren Roy advanced to the finals of the third flight before falling, while classmate Michele Vona finished as runner up in the fourth flight.
