Saint Joseph's Women's Tennis Tops Rider, 6-1
Sept. 24, 2008 PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team earned its first win of the season, topping Rider 6-1 at Finnesey Courts on Wednesday. The Hawks (1-1) earned the match's first point, sweeping all three doubles matches. Saint Joseph's junior Jennifer Kedzierski and freshman Laura Matz teamed at No. 1 doubles for an 8-0 win over Rider's Danielle Morse and Krissy Paich. Senior Krysta Contino and sophomore Maggie Mullaney posted an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles for the Hawks, while senior Tristin Reppert and freshman Melissa Glick posted an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles. Saint Joseph's continued to dominate in singles action, winning five of six matches. Kedzierski posted a 6-0,6-0 win at No. 1 singles, while Mullaney was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at No. 2 singles. Freshman Laura Matz, Contino and Glick posted wins at No.4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively. Rider, which got a win from Tricia Ashmore at No. 3 singles, falls to 1-3 with the loss. Singles
