ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Saint Joseph's senior Jhennifer Kedzierski finished her collegiate career in convincing fashion with both a singles victory and team win as the Hawks topped La Salle, 4-0, to finish tied for 11th at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championship. Playing in her hometown of St. Louis, Mo., Kedzierski posted her 41st career win with a 6-2, 6-0 decision over La Salle Kiara Smith. Kedzierski, who caps her career second all-time in program history in singles victories, also was on her way to a doubles win with sophomore Laura Matz before the match was called as SJU already won the other two doubles matches. In those matches, junior Maggie Mullaney and sophomore Sally Kalani Stainier posted an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles, while sophomores Tara Walsh and Kate Dowd earned an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles. Switching to singles matches, Mullaney and Stainier won at No.2 and No. 3 singles, respectively to end the match. Mullaney topped Allison Amrien 6-2, 6-0, with Stainier beating Elli Vamvakitis, 6-0, 6-1. Sophomore Nicole Esposito was ahead 6-1, 0-3 when the match was called, with Walsh and Dowd yet to play. The Hawks, who played a majority of the season with an injury-depleted roster, finished the year with a 7-19 overall mark and matched its conference finish from 2009.
