PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team dropped its match to Army, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at Finnesy Courts.

Army claimed the first point of the day, sweeping all three doubles matches.

Up 1-0, the Black Knights used their momentum to sweep all six singles matches. The Hawks junior Stephania Velazquez fell 5-7, 3-6 to Niki Flach at No. 1 singles, while SJU freshman Jennifer Kedzierski lost to Brooke Jones, 3-6, 3-6, at No. 2 singles.

The Hawks, who fell to 10-8 on the year with the loss, return to action April 13 when they host Temple at 3 p.m.
