April 10, 2012 EASTON, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team picked up its third-straight win on Tuesday, downing Lafayette, 6-1. The Hawks posted wins at five singles flights and claimed the doubles' point to improve to 8-15 on the year. Playing doubles first, Saint Joseph's picked up its first point of the match with wins at the top two flights. Sophomore Devi Jadeja and freshman Aurora Davis posted an easy 8-1 victory at No. 1 doubles, while freshman Kelly Mulquin and senior Tara Walsh were 8-4 victors at the second flight. Ahead 1-0, the Hawks made quick work of the Leopards in singles play. Jadeja and Davis combined to drop just four games total as the pair posted identical 6-0, 6-2 decisions at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively. Mulquin eased to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles, while Walsh battled to a three-set win, 6-4, 3-6, 10-7, at the fifth flight. Senior Kate Dowd closed out the match with a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles. Saint Joseph's returns to action this Saturday at George Washington at 1 p.m. Singles
