Women's Tennis Falls at Lafayette, 3-2

EASTON, Pa. - The Saint Joseph's women's tennis team dropped a hard-fought, 3-2 match at Lafayette Saturday afternoon. The Hawks got singles wins from junior Maggie Mullaney and freshman Nicole Esposito.

Lafayette grabbed the first point of the match with a three-set victory.

In singles, Mullaney was a 6-0, 6-1 winner at No. 1 singles, while Esposito was a 6-2, 6-3 winner at No. 4 singles. The Hawks had a chance to earn the win, but sophomore Laura Matz fell in three sets, 6-2, 2-6, 7-5, at No. 2 singles.

Saint Joseph's returns to action next Friday against Fairfield. The match is set for a 6 p.m. start at the Upper Dublin Sports Complex.
