Women's Tennis Drops Matches to #60 Old Dominion and Richmond

NORFOLK, Va. - Facing a pair of the top teams in the Atlantic regions, the Saint Joseph's women's tennis team dropped its matches this weekend at the Old Dominion Round Robin. Facing reigning Atlantic 10 Richmond on Friday, the Hawks fell to the Spiders, 7-0. Playing without starters Casey Robinson and Nicole Esposito, Saint Joseph's dropped all three doubles matches to start the match, with the Spiders sweeping all six singles flights to earn the 7-0 win. On Saturday, Saint Joseph's faced its stiffest competition of the season at 60th-ranked Old Dominion. Unfortunately playing shorthanded for the second straight day, the Hawks fell behind 1-0 in the match after the doubles competition, with the Monarchs winning all six singles matches for the 7-0 victory.
