BALTIMORE - Playing for the second time in as many days, the Saint Joseph's women's tennis team against posted a tough fight, but eventually fell at UMBC, 7-0, Sunday afternoon. The Retrievers took the first point of the match, winning all three doubles matches, despite a strong showing from Devi Jadeja and Laura Matz at the second flight. The duo held their own, but fell 8-4. Switching to singles play, junior Casey Robinson went to three sets at the No. 1 flight before falling 6-3, 2-6, 6-10 in the tie break. Freshman Kelly Mulquin challenged Josefin Stange-Jonsson at the sixth seed, but the UMBC upperclassman earned the win 6-3, 7-5, with the Retrievers claiming the other four singles sets. The Hawks return to action on February 10 when they host Duquesne at the Upper Dublin Sports Center at 7 p.m. Singles
