SJU OFFENSE EXPLODES FOR 26 RUNS IN SWEEP OF BONNIES

BOXSCORE GAME 2 ST. BONAVENTURE, NY (4/10/04) -- Saint Joseph's totalled 25 hits to remain perfect in Atlantic 10 play with a sweep at St. Bonaventure. SJU won game one 12-0 and exploded for an 11-run fourth inning to take game two, 14-2. The Hawks improve to 11-17 overall and a spotless 4-0 in the A-10, while the Bonnies drop to 7-13, 2-4. Junior Alicia Cunic did most of the damage in game one, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, including a double and homerun. Classmates Megan Richardson and Cara Deldeo each added two hits for SJU. Senior Dana Travis scattered five hits and struck out eight batters to improve to 7-5. In the nightcap, senior Lindsey McNamara socked her second homer of the season and drove in four runs on the day. Junior Jill Clementi added a 3-for-4 performance with two doubles and three RBI. Freshman Lauren Hughes allowed three hits in five innings to improve to 3-6. Saint Joseph's hosts Rutgers in a mid-week doubleheader on Wednesday.
