LINDSEY McNAMARA NAMED TO A-10 ALL-CONFERENCE SOFTBALL TEAM
AMHERST, MA (05/07/03) - Saint Joseph's junior outfielder Lindsey McNamara was named to the 12-player Atlantic 10 All-Conference Softball Team. McNamara started all 37 games for the 24-13 Hawks, batting .333 with nine doubles, four homeruns and 20 RBI. Her homerun and RBI total ranked second on the team while her 27 runs led the squad.
Massachusetts shortstop Emily Robustelli and teammate Kaila Holtz were named Atlantic 10 Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively, in voting conducted among the Conference's head coaches.
In that same vote, Fordham's Michelle Schlichtig and Bridget Baxter earned Rookie and Coach of the Year honors, respectively.
Joining McNamara, Robustelli and Holtz on the All-Conference team are UMass' Brandi Cross, Katie Jo Kelley, Aisha Franke, and Anna Perey; Dayton's Angie Barney; Schlichtig; and Temple's Alexis Gary and Bari Lynn Pflueger.
