Hawks' Richardson Named Atlantic 10 Softball Player Of The Week
April 4, 2005 PHILADELPHIA, PA - Saint Joseph's senior centerfielder Megan Richardson was named Atlantic 10 Softball Player of the Week for the week of March 28 through April 4. Last week, Richardson went six-of-seven from the plate, helping the Hawks to a sweep of Saint Peter's. The leadoff hitter accounted for three of SJU's seven runs, adding a stolen base. In the opener, Richardson went three-for-three and her sacrifice bunt in the bottom of the eighth helped plate the game-winning run in a 3-2 Hawk victory. In the nightcap, Richardson finished three-for-four, scoring two runs in Saint Joseph's 4-1 win. The weekly honor is the first of the season for Richardson and the sqaud. Saint Joseph's, which is 7-11 on the year, hosts Rider Tuesday afternoon at East Norriton Field.
