Hawks Earn Second Straight Regional Ranking
Oct. 26, 2005 PHILADELPHIA - For the second week in a row and third time this season, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team earned a regional ranking, placing 15th in the Mid-Atlantic Region of SoccerBuzz.com's most recent poll. In their lone game last week, the Hawks posted a 2-2 double-overtime tie at cross-town rival Temple. Saint Joseph's, which ranked 14th in last week's regional poll, moved to 7-7-3 on the season with the draw. Earlier this season, Saint Joseph's earned the first-ever regional rankings in program history. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America ranked the Hawks seventh in the Mid-Atlantic Region, while SoccerBuzz.com ranked Saint Joseph's 13th in its September 5th Mid-Atlantic poll. Penn State topped both the Mid-Atlantic and National Top-30 polls this week with a 17-0-0 record. For more on the poll, visit www.soccerbuzz.com.
