PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's senior goalkeeper Christine Neal was named the Philly Soccer News Women's College Player of the Week, organization officials announced on Wednesday.

Helping the Hawks to a pair of ties this past weekend, Neal made six saves last Friday at Saint Louis as SJU tied the Billikens, 1-1. On Sunday, Neal was stellar between the pipes, posting a game-high nine saves in a shutout performance as the Hawks and Butler tied 0-0.

On the year, Neal has posted an 8-5-4 mark, with a game-high 94 saves to go with six shutouts.

Neal and the Hawks return to action on Friday when they host La Salle at 7 p.m.
