Women's Soccer Ranked 14th in Mid-Atlantic Region
Oct. 18, 2005 PHILADELPHIA - For the second time this season, the Saint Joseph's women's soccer team has earned a regional ranking, placing 14th in the Mid-Atlantic Region of SoccerBuzz.com's most recent poll. This past weekend, the Hawks posted 3-0 and 2-1 victories to improve to 7-7-2 overall. Last Friday, Saint Joseph's earned its third shutout of the season against George Washington. On Sunday, the Hawks earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over city-rival La Salle to improve to move back to .500 Earlier this season, Saint Joseph's earned the first-ever regional rankings in program history. The National Soccer Coaches Association of America ranked the Hawks seventh in the Mid-Atlantic Region, while SoccerBuzz.com ranked Saint Joseph's 13th in its September 5th Mid-Atlantic poll.
