RICHMOND PUTS END TO HAWK STREAK WITH 3-0 WIN

RICHMOND, VA (10/26/03) -- Richmond won its fourth straight match and in the process snapped a three-game win streak by SJU with a 3-0 win at the First Market Stadium on Sunday. Sophomore Nicole DiEnna stopped five shots in defeat. UR's Annette Isham got things started with a goal in the 17th minute. The score remained 1-0 for another 60 minutes before Whitney Sikes scored her third goal of the season. Brooke Binswanger added an insurance tally in the 89th minute to account for the final score. Richmond out shot the Hawks, 15-4, and had a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks. SJU will look to qualify for its first ever Atlantic 10 Championships next weekend with matchups at home against Rhode Island (Friday) and Massachusetts (Sunday).
