PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's incoming freshman forward Mo Hawkins has been named to the Atlantic 10 Preseason Women's Soccer All-Rookie Team, conference officials announced on Tuesday. The all-time leading scorer in Cardinal Dougherty history, Hawkins recorded 112 goals over her four seasons, earning First Team All-Catholic League accolades each year. Turning in her best season as a senior, Hawkins earned 2009 Catholic League MVP, Northeast Times Player of the Year, Southeastern Pennsylvania Hall of Fame Female Soccer Player of the Year, and Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association All-State Team honors after scoring a career-best 42 goals. "I'm very happy Mo has been recognized by the Atlantic 10 coaches as one of the top incoming players in the conference," said Saint Joseph's head coach Jess Reynolds. "Mo will add several new dimension to our attack and we're excited to have her playing in her hometown." Hawkins and Saint Joseph's open the 2010 season at UC Santa Barbara on August 27.
