Saint Joseph's Women's Soccer Falls at Fordham, 2-0
Oct. 14, 2007 BRONX, NY - The Saint Joseph's women's soccer team fell at Atlantic 10 foe Fordham, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Jack Coffey Field. Fordham jumped out to an early 1-0 advantage as the Rams' Kim Boulos took a pass from teammate Katie Sanchez and beat the Hawks' sophomore goalkeeper Megan Bastianelli at the 9:45 mark. The Rams extended their lead to 2-0 shortly before halftime. With a ball loose at the top of Saint Joseph's box, Fordham's Alexis Ribadeneyra one-timed a pass from Danielle Ingram, beating Bastianelli to the far corner at 41:21. The score remained the same over the remainder of the game as Fordham limited Saint Joseph's to only three shots on the day. Individually, Bastianelli posted a game-high five saves for the Hawks, while senior Shannon Osborn, junior Ashley Bugnar and sophomore Danielle Debernardo each tallied a shot. With the loss, Saint Joseph's falls to 2-12-0 overall and 0-6-0 in the Atlantic 10. Saint Joseph's returns to action next Friday when the Hawks host St. Bonaventure at 5 p.m.
