Saint Joseph's Women's Rowing Sign Brady and Kammerman

Nov. 22, 2006

PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's women's rowing coach Gerry Quinlan announced that Danielle Brady and Brianne Kammerman have signed National Letters of Intent in the early signing period to row for the Hawks beginning in the fall of 2007.

A standout in both rowing and basketball, Brady has led the Ocean City High School rowing team to great success over her first three years. As a sophomore, Brady helped her team to both the 2005 National and Ocean City Championships as a member of the JV 8.

A four-year member of the Holy Spirit team, Kammerman begins her second season as a member of the Varsity 8. Over the past three seasons, Kammerman has captured gold at two Stotesbury Regattas, as well as several other team accolades.

"We are very excited about the signing of Danielle and Brianne and know they will make an immediate impact on our team," said Quinlan. " Besides their athletic and academic prowess, we are impressed by their character and leadership qualities."

Saint Joseph's, which has won two-straight Dad Vail titles, returns to action March 10 versus Delaware and Lehigh.
