SJU PLACES SIXTH AT ATLANTIC 10 CHAMPIONSHIPS
COLLINGSWOOD, NJ (04/27/02) - Saint Joseph's placed sixth at the Atlantic 10 Women's Rowing Championships held on the Cooper River on Saturday morning. The Hawks tallied 15 points on the day with UMass capturing its seventh straight A-10 title with 44 points.
The Hawks only victorious crew was the varsity petite eight, which defeated Duquesne and La Salle. Unfortunately, it was a non-scoring event.
SJU placed third in the novice eight (4 points), and placed fourth in the novice four (3 points), the quad four (3 points) and second varsity eight (5 points) to account for its 15 points.
The Hawks will next take to the waters at the Dad Vail Regatta on May 10-11.
