HAWKS TAKE THIRD AT A-10 MEET

Camden, NJ.(4/28/01) -  The SJU Women's Rowing team finished third at the 2001 Atlantic 10 Championships. Massachusetts took the overall title while George Washington claimed silver. The Lightweight 8 successfully defended their A-10 Title by winning the event in 7:25 over Dayton and UMass. The Quad finished an impressive second in 8:05 over Rhode Island, GW, Duquesne and Temple. The Varsity unfortunately did not fair as well making it through the heat, but in the final they simply had a bad row finishing sixth. The Varsity 4 and Freshman 8 both made the final and had strong rows finishing sixth and fifth, respectively.
